Comprehensive exam word clouds
A picture's worth a thousand words, right? When I finished my comprehensive exams for my PhD, I took my responses to the written exam questions and made word clouds out of them. In my department, we have four written exams, each with questions written by our committee members and tailored to our own research area. I thought it'd be a fun way to visualize some of the major themes that I think about about in my work. Underneath each cloud is the committee member who's questions I answered to make that cloud.
